Boat, Motor & Trailer
Provides for the direct and accidental loss to your property and the necessary salvage cost less the deductible. The deductible does not apply to a total loss of the watercraft, or if the amount of the loss exceeds the insured value of the watercraft, motor or trailer.

A deductible of $ 50 applies to losses involving (a)unattached Equipment/Accessories and (b) personal effects.

Personal Effects
Provides coverage for your personal effects stored or contained in the watercraft less a $ 50 deductible.

Unattached Equipment & Accessories
means all detached or easily detachable equipment and accessories used in your watercraft's maintenance or use and operation.

Removal of the Wreck
If the law requires you to remove the wreck of the insured property, the insurance company will pay the expense incurred in:

  • removal or disposal of the insured property; and
  • any attempted removal or disposal of the insured property.
Supplementary Payments
In addition to the amount of insurance (liability limit), the insurer will pay on behalf of an insured person, at the request of the insurance company:
  • all defense costs
  • up to $50 a day for loss of earnings, but not other income, because of attendance at hearings or trials
  • other reasonable expenses incurred
  • premiums on appeal bonds and bonds to release attachments in any suit, the insurer defends
  • interest accruing after a judgement is entered in any suit the insurer defends.
The insurer's duty ends when they offer to pay that part of the judgement which does not exceed the amount of insurance (liability limit).

Watercraft Liability
The insurance company will pay damages for bodily injury and/or property damage for which an insured person becomes liable because of an accident involving insured property. The company will settle or defend any claim or suit asking for these damages.

The insurance company's duty to settle or defend ends when the amount they pay for damages equals the liability limit, shown on the declarations page of the policy.
